At this stage, I’m looking for honest feedback about the story itself, what worked, what didn’t, where your interest picked up or wandered off for a snack, how you felt about the characters, whether the mystery kept you guessing, and whether anything felt confusing, too slow, too scary, or too young for the intended audience. Please don’t worry about hurting my feelings. Compliments are always welcome, of course, but constructive criticism is what might actually help turn Mittsy Bear Mysteries into the next series kids can’t stop reading. I’m aiming somewhere in the wildly optimistic neighborhood of R.L. Stine and J.K. Rowling, so clearly I have no shortage of confidence. If something didn’t work for you, tell me why. If something did work, tell me that too. And if you finish the book wanting another Mollie and Mittsy Bear mystery, then I may be onto something.
